Jacqueline Grey (Jacq) (she/her) is a lighting designer and concept artist who uses a wide array of technologies and rendering techniques in her visual storytelling. She has an MFA in Lighting Design from the California Institute of the Arts.
She has worked for lighting firms in both Portland, OR and the Los Angeles area where she does not only traditional lighting design, but architectural lighting design as well. Her focus in the company has been to co-pilot a rendering team and bring virtual lighting to the table. Specializing in Unreal Engine, Rose and her team have worked on many pre-viz and art lighting projects (sadly, most under NDA), to the delight of their clients.
In more traditional theatrical lighting design, her work has traveled internationally from art houses in Cuba to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Previously she had assisted with Deaf West Theatre’s production of Spring Awakening on Broadway. Locally she has designed with several LA theatre companies including City Theatre Group, Echo Theatre, A Noise Within, Boston Court, and several others. Previously from Phoenix, she was a resident lighting designer for Grand Canyon University for two years.
